She embraced the inevitable, it was time to grab the mic and spread some joy. Since stepping to the microphone, she has been seen on Comcast Local Comedy On Demand and on “L.O.L.“, the online video comedy feature of Atlanta’s premier newspaper, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She has performed on stage at The Punchline Comedy Club, The Funny Farm Comedy Club, Atlanta’s historic Dogwood Festival, the One Love Gospel Cruise and various other events. Veda can currently be seen on HAHAlujah!, an online comedy videofeature for Atlanta’s Inspiration Station, Praise 102.5-mypraiseatl.com.

In addition to her love of laughter, Veda is also a gifted vocalist. She peformed on Oprah Winfrey’s 2007 “My Favorite Things” episode with a gospel choir singing background for Warner Bros. recording artist, Josh Groban. Veda’s voice can be heard on jingles and voice over work.

Raised in southern New Jersey, Veda Howard is a graduate of Hampton University and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hughley, Pastor Jesse Curney III, Jeff Majors, Fred Hammond, Mary Mary and more has solidified this young mans Ordered Steps.  Because of his love for comedy and sports, “GRIFF” landed the job as Sports Director and Co-Host of The Frank-Ski morning show, WVEE V-103FM in Atlanta from November 1998 – November 2001.  With his quick wit and unsurpassed knowledge for sports news, “GRIFF” took sports took sports to the ‘next level’ with his comedic twist on athletes and their stories.  In 1999 he received Georgia’s Sportcaster of the Year Award and in 2004 “Street Skillz”, a program he provided the color commentary for was nominated for an EMMY.

After finding out that Radio will give you MANY opportunities to work (…nice sentence for being Laid Off) “GRIFF” was picked out of thousands to host the nationally syndicated TV Show THUNDERBOX.  (on FOX SPORTS).  THUNDERBOX in essence was hip-hop meets real boxing with a storyline compared to that of the WWE!  With his natural love of the cameras, sports and music … he was the obvious choice as Host.  Through DONE DEAL ENTERTAINMENT, “GRIFF” has many upcoming projects.  These projects include DOND DEAL SPORTS (Radio / TV), The Toni & “GRIFF” Show LIVE, LOL Wednesdays (Greenville, S.C.) and a number of ‘One Nighters’ produced in different States each week.  “GRIFF” has appeared on B.E.T.’s COMIC VIEW four times, THE BIG BLACK COMEDY SHOW for SHOWTIME, The 1^st Amendment COMEDY SHOW which aired on the STARS Network, The One Love Gospel Cruise (in 07, 09, 2010, 2011 & 2012) B.E.T.’s “A TIME TO LAUGH” Hosted by Vickie Winans and most recently the fourth year of The Radio One’s Family Comedy Tour.

“GRIFF” returned to radio in Atlanta in 2005 on Radio One’s HOT 107.9.  The “A-Team Morning Shows” theme was all about Atlanta!  Rashan Ali, Emperfor Searcy and GRIFFY2TRILLION were the culmination of entertainment and information with an incredible spice of comedy!  After three and a half years of hard work, the crew gained gremendous audience among 18-34 year-old men and women in the market.  (Another nice paragraph for ‘laid off.’)  Since September of 2009 “GRIFF” has been working on his true passion, The Toni & “GRIFF” Show, a Family oriented Radio / TV Show produced and created by his beautiful and hilarious wife Toni.

Never too busy to volunteer for his community, his love for the young misguided youth of The World prompted him to start Positive Vibes 18 years ago.  Postivie Vibes is a non-profit mentoringprogram that takes his encouraging life story straight to the kids, through schools, libraries, churches, YMCA’s, Bosy and Girls Clubs and Youth Detention Centers Worldwide.  Being a devoted father to his five children, he realizes the need and importance of male figures in young children’s lives.

The most exciting news currently in “GRIFF”s life is his published book, ‘Cats and Puppies,’ a book for mothers raising sons from the perspective of a son raised by his mother.

But Chocolate learned to take her lemons and make lemonade. And through the bitter-sweet of life, she learned to laugh at herself. Her very first time on stage she talked mostly about her complexion-thinking it would be better to deal with the obvious first. She did so well with it, it was actually therapeutic for her. And although she graced the stage her first year under her real name “Chinnitta Morris”, she was mostly remembered for doing jokes about being “chocolate or dark-skinned”, and the name “Chocolate was given to her officially two weeks before her first taping of Def Comedy Jam.

Some of Chocolates accomplishments during her career as a comedian that started on November, 27 1990 are HBO’S Def Comedy Jam, BET’S Comic View and Bad Girls of Def Comedy Jam, which featured five of the best female comics on Def Comedy Jam. She was nominated for best female stand-up on the “Soul Train Comedy Awards which was won by Whoopie Goldberg. Chocolate has also toured with numerous stage plays, including Tyler Perry’s very first play “I Know I’ve Been Changed”.

Although she was a favorite on Def Comedy Jam and Comic View, and was excelling greatly in the secular arena, in the year 1998, God called her in out of darkness into His marvelous light. Her response was a resounding “YES”! Chocolate had gotten a revelation from God that “only what you do for Christ is going to last”. She realized that everything else was a waste of time and her soul was perishing, so she committed her life to Christ, and is fully committed.

The transition wasn’t easy, but she didn’t expect it to be. She faced much criticism from her peers who did not understand her decision at a time when her career was going so well. All that mattered to Chocolate was that now her life was committed to Christ, and whatever He wanted from her became her hearts desire to do His will.

Chocolate gives God all the glory for all those who believe in what God is doing through her, and gave her a chance to prove Him. And in all that He uses her to do for the up building of His kingdom, she boldly proclaims, “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!
